Pablo Gargallo Museum
The museum’s headquarters is the Palacio de Argillo, a palatial house from the 17th century and is located in the heart of Saragossa, in Plaza San Felipe.
The museum was inaugurated in 1985 with the objective of paying tribute to the figure of Pablo Gargallo and disseminating his contribution to art. The building that houses the museum is an 18th century palace house, which adds historical charm to the cultural environment.
Pablo Gargallo (1881-1934) was an internationally renowned Spanish sculptor and artist, known for his innovative contributions to the art of modern sculpture. He was born in Maella, a small town near Saragossa, in the Aragon region, Spain. Although he did not spend his entire life in Saragossa, the city played an important role in his artistic training and development.
The Pablo Gargallo Museum houses a wide collection of the sculptor’s works, ranging from his earliest works to the most iconic pieces he created during his career.
