Museum of Fire and Firefighters

The Museum of Fire and Firefighters is a museum in Saragossa that was inaugurated in 2012. A museum that shows the public the work carried out by firefighters, exhibits the history and work of firefighters over time, the means they have to carry out their work and how these means have evolved. Additionally, it seeks to educate the public about the importance of fire prevention and safety.

It is located in the old Franciscan Mínimos de la Victoria Convent from the 16th century and houses the fire station and the history museum.

The museum houses a diverse collection of objects related to firefighting and the work of firefighters. You can find everything from old uniforms and tools to modern equipment used today. Personal equipment: helmets, caps, uniforms, masks. Vehicles: Fire extinguisher carts, hose reels, bicycles, extendable ladders, hand pumps, steam pumps, automobiles. Collective work equipment: Buckets, lances and monitors, hoses, fire extinguishers, supplies and tools, trunks, telecommunications, motor pumps and electric pumps, generators.

In addition, historical objects such as scientific, educational and health instruments, trophies, metopes, insurance company plaques, decorations, miniatures, models, pennants.

Through exhibits and interactive elements, the museum tells the history of firefighters in Saragossa and how they have evolved over time. In addition to displaying objects and artifacts, the museum has an educational and awareness-raising focus on fire prevention and safety in the home and other environments.
